Virginia Search Engine Optimization

If you are willing to put a serious effort into learning and implementing SEO, then you can set yourself up for life. However, if you are a beginner, things can get quite confusing which especially happens when you're not focusing on the basics. You must start at the beginning with all the foundation information and knowledge so you will have a real understanding. Knowing the basics of site building, keyword research, SEO and more is what you have to acquire before proceeding too far. So with that we will take it from the bottom, first, with some foundation laying.

This is for later on, but you always need to have a very good idea of your site's search engine position once you get going. Of course you have to do backlinking preferably every day - yes, every single day you should do something. Also, in the beginning you may see your site jump all over the place for a while - that is totally normal. This is all really pretty cut and dry because you have to keep up the effort to get to the top and then stay there. There are SEO opportunities available with your images that you place on any page. We can offer some direction about this, but you can learn a few things that go beyond it. What you will do is simply place your keywords in the alt tag of the image. If you have more than one image on the same page, then you can use the main phrase, for the page, and then a related phrase for another image. Just keep in mind that your ALT text needs to be highly relevant.

You can sometimes do very well with underhanded techniques that are termed, blackhat SEO, but that is a risky proposition if you are new. If you want to learn about it, you can, but you really need to take care about the whole proposition.

There's nothing much that you can get out of blackhat SEO except the fact that you may make some quick cash. The exact opposite of this is what the majority of people do, whitehat SEO, and if that appeals to you, great - we only recommend whitehat, by the way. Doing SEO is really not a lot of fun, and that is why so many people choose to outsource it. But keep in mind that it is all a dynamic place, and you have to keep up with changes. Some of these things are just annoying to deal with every day, and you will get tired of constantly backlinking. You have to figure out the value of your time per hour, and then see if it is worth it for you. What you now have to do is keep learning and expanding your knowledge base.
